So after completing an Olympic triathlon last year, I decided to donate my pain, sweat and tears to a great cause. I joined the Leukemia & Lymphoma Team in Training for a century bike ride in Tucson, AZ. On November 17 we will embark on a 110 miles bike ride in the Arizona desert. I pledged to raise $4,400 on behalf of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, to fight blood cancer. I immediately recruited my friends and family for the mission and the response was tremendous. I am still only at around $600, and have much more to go. But the way the Tucson century ride is even longer. Over the next 6 months I will wake up at dawn and train and train and train, until I'm an oiled cycling machine. No, just kidding. Training is a lot of fun, but it is hard sometimes. Yesterday, for example, after the training my muscles hurt so much that I couldn't go up and down the stairs. I work at a restaurant, and people didn't understand why I'm walking like a duck, or a crippled penguin. I will make this page my update/showoff/complaining page, and you can keep up to date with the latest news of my training. For example, I'll let you know when I can walk again. It should be soon. This is a great cause, and I'll love you forever for this. So it's worth it!
